The success of the public administration internship programs is proven by the fact that not only the well-known Hungarian Public Administration Internship Program has started its fifth year but the Public Administration Internship Program for Disabled University and College Students has also started its second year.

2011 was the first year of  the Hungarian Public Administration Internship Program and it was financed entirely by the European Union. Since 2012 the program has been financed by the central government budget which also shows the dedication and support of the Hungarian Government.

The Program has already has been highly successful among interns and host institutions. Despite the fact that hiring freeze was introduced in the public sector at that time and significantly reduced the number of advertised jobs, through the Program interns could start their career in public administration. Interns gladly share their experiences about the Program with potential candidates.

Seeing the success of Hungarian Public Administration Internship Program the government has launched Public Administration Internship Program for Disabled University and College Students in 2014. The new program has begun with particular interest of applicants and host institutions. According to the interns' and mentors' feedbacks the program has been characterized by mutual development and learning.
